Cloisters on the Platte
Chapel

The Cloisters on the Platte Foundation is currently developing the permanent retreat site for The Cloisters on the Platte. Set among the natural beauty surrounding the Platte River in Nebraska, the 930-acre retreat property will provide a peaceful sanctuary that lives in harmony with the surrounding natural beauty.
LEO A DALY was retained to design the chapel for this important project. Modeled after the Saint Margaret Mary Cathedral in Omaha, the Cloisters on the Platte Chapel is inspired by English Gothic architecture. The Chapel will seat approximately 80, with unique individual seats that swivel and kneelers for each seat. The sides of the Chapel are designed to be opened, when desired, for greater access to the surrounding picturesque outdoor setting.
Traditional amenities such as a bell tower are included to call patrons to services and meal times. A covered walkway joins the Chapel to the rest of the campus.
